2010

Like many people, I'm happy 2009 has ended.  Today, I feel as if the weight of last year has lifted off my shoulders.  And I look towards the 27th of this month (my 29th birthday).

Many people today are thinking about changes in their lives... you know... the R-word.  I don't think in terms of resolutions.  Occasionally, I make one, but really... No resolutions.

I do have a wish for this year, however.  It has more to do with the big 3-0 looming a little over a year away than it does with the change of the year.  I wish to put everything I can into my writing this year.  What this means, right now only I know.  It is a goal and a prayer. Question is, will I make it come true?

Gaslight Demons Reviewed!

This morning I awoke to find a review for Gaslight Demons. Many thanks to Berin Kinsman for taking the time to write the review. Now, naturally, I have to share my favorite bits!

Regarding Gaslight Demons:
It’s like Law & Order meets Harry Potter. It’s just bizarre genre blending, and I like that. The characters are likable, the plot moves at a good clip, and I had a good time. A worthwhile read.

Regarding Me:
Gloria is definitely a talented, up-and-coming writer, and I think she’s got the potential to have her work on bookshelves next to people like Simon R. Green and Jim Butcher.

Never Enough Time

So, November is over... I failed at NaNoWriMo. There just wasn't enough time. I got sick for the start of the month, which off set almost everything. And at that time, I realized I have way too many projects on my plate. What could be sacrificed was (and for me that was NaNoWriMo). I'm slowly trimming down the other projects and getting a handle on everything I'm doing (not an easy thing to do during the holidays).

Paul Jessup/[info]pauljessup. I owe a lot of him, for he’s taught me many things about the writing world. Buy his surrealist Space Opera Open Your Eyes or pre-order his short story collection Glass Coffin Girls.

Twisted Fairy Tale Anthology

I'm not in this anthology, but my good friend [info]ldragoon is. So please check out her post about it. But if it wasn't cool enough her story is in the anthology, she also drew the cover!
